Mr. Johnson held both head football and basketball coaching positions during his time at Morehead State.  In 1953, Coach Johnson led his basketball team to the NCAA tournament.  From 1936-53, Johnson was the school’s director of athletics in which time Morehead became a charter member of the OVC in 1948.
