Ohio Valley Conference

In 1982, Dan Beebe began his career in intercollegiate athletics as a NCAA enforcement representative.  He returned to the NCAA as director of enforcement after a brief stint as Wichita State’s assistant athletic director.  Beebe served as commissioner of the Ohio Valley Conference from 1989-2003 in which time he served as chair for the I-AA Governance Committee and as a member on the NCAA Division I Management Council.  In February 2003 he was hired as senior associate commissioner and chief operating officer for the Big XII Conference.  He worked to establish future sites for conference championships and to extend television contracts for the league.  Beebe was promoted to the position of Big XII commissioner September 5, 2007.
