Belmont Wins First OVC Volleyball Tournament Title

Third-seeded Belmont upset No. 1 Morehead State (13-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22) to win the OVC Volleyball Championship crown in its first year in the league. The Bruins also won the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The victory also snapped Morehead State’s 24-match winning streak.
 
Belmont had three players reach double-digits in kills with Allison McCoy with 16. Jocelyn Youngdahl recorded 12 kills while Jen Meyer had 10. Youngdahl had 13 digs for the double-double Jamie Lundstrom posted a match-high 25 digs.
 
Aryn Bohannon had a match-high 19 kills to go with 10 digs. Annie Gruenschlaeger added 12 kills while Laura McDermott and Ellie Roberson each had 10. Leslie Schellhaas paced the team with 20 digs.
