Complete Sports Network Preseason All-American Team
Seven Ohio Valley Conference football players have been named to the Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Preseason All-American Football Team.
That included two first-team selections, three second-team selections and two third-team picks. Eastern Kentucky had three of the selections, followed by two from Southeast Missouri and one apiece from Jacksonville State and Murray State.
The first-team selections were Eastern Kentucky senior offensive tackle Aaron Adams and Southeast Missouri State senior linebacker Blake Peiffer. The second-team selections were Murray State senior quarterback Casey Brockman, Eastern Kentucky senior running back Matt Denham and Southeast Missouri State senior offensive tackle Evan Conrad. The third-team picks were Jacksonville State senior running back Washaun Ealey and Eastern Kentucky senior offensive tackle Patrick Ford.
The 2012 Sports Network All-America Team will be announced after the regular season on Dec. 19.
The Sports Network also presents the four major awards in the division - the Walter Payton (FCS outstanding player), the Buck Buchanan (FCS outstanding defensive player), the Jerry Rice (FCS outstanding freshman player) and the Eddie Robinson (FCS coach of the year) - after the season. In addition, TSN presents the FCS's most widely recognized weekly Top 25 poll and weekly awards honoring the nation's top offensive player, defensive player, special teams player and freshman.
