Newsome averaged 27.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.6 steals last week to help UT Martin go 3-0. She netted a season-high 36 points to go with nine assists and six rebounds against Southeast Missouri. She shot 55.5 percent from the floor and 64.2 percent from the behind the arc over the three games.

Coleman led the Bruins in rebounding for the week. She recorded her fifth double-double  as she recorded 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds against Eastern Kentucky. Against Tennessee State, she led all players with nine boards and shot 60 percent from the floor. In each game, she had a game-high four steals, one block and three-plus assists.

FRESHMAN
Erika Sisk, G • Fr., 5'6 • Oxford, Miss. • Murray State
Sisk averaged 16.0 points as Murray State picked up a pair of wins. She tied a career-high with 26 points versus SIUE. She shot 36.4 percent from behind the arc while recording one assist and four steals on the week. She also hit eight of her 12 free throw attempts.

TEAM SNAPSHOTS
 
AUSTIN PEAY LADY GOVS (0-6, 5-13): Austin Peay fell to Eastern Illinois (68-43) and SIUE (54-49). Senior Meghan Bussaberger led the team scoring in both games, netting 13 points in each contest. Senior Leslie Martinez averaged 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.5 steals over the two games. Freshman Alexis Hardaway posted a career-high 12 points versus the Cougars. Head coach Carrie Daniels coached her 206th career game against SIUE, becoming APSU's longest tenured head coach in terms of games coached. Austin Peay will look to win its first league game of the season as it travels to Tennessee Tech on Saturday and Jacksonville State on Monday.
 
BELMONT BRUINS (7-1, 12-8): Belmont defeated Tennessee State (66-54) and Eastern Kentucky (65-49) last week. Junior Molly Ernst knocked down six three-pointers en route to scoring a game-high 22 points. Ernst recorded eight three-pointers over the two games to move to seventh all-time and fourth in the NCAA era with 178 treys made. Senior Jordan Coleman led the team in rebounding last week. She recorded her fifth double-double with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds versus Eastern Kentucky. Senior Katie Brooks is just 79 points away from her 500th point as a Bruin. Belmont will hit the road this week as it travels to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday and Morehead State on Monda
 
EASTERN ILLINOIS PANTHERS (5-2, 11-8): Eastern Illinois split a pair of road contests last week, defeating Austin Peay (68-43) and falling to Murray State (58-68). Senior Sydney Mitchell came off the bench in both games to average a double-double. In the win at Austin Peay, Mitchell recorded 10 points and a career-best 15 rebounds. She followed that up with 12 points and 10 boards versus Murray State. Ta'Kenya Nixon recorded 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game last week. Senior Kelsey Wyss ranks second on the school's all-time three-pointers made list, needing just 15 more to become the all-time leader. Eastern Illinois will return home this week as it hosts Southeast Missouri on Saturday and UT Martin on Monday.
 
EASTERN KENTUCKY LADY COLONELS (4-2, 10-7): Eastern Kentucky defeated Jacksonville State (69-51) before falling to Belmont (65-49) last week. Senior Alex Jones recorded back-to-back double-doubles. Against JSU, she recorded 12 points and 11 boards. Jones followed that up with 11 points and 13 rebounds versus Belmont. She is now second on the school's all-time double-double list. She also went 11-for-14 from the free throw line over the two games. Eastern Kentucky will host Belmont on Saturday and Tennessee State on Monday.
 
JACKSONVILLE STATE GAMECOCKS (0-7, 0-19): Jacksonville State dropped its lone contest of week to Eastern Kentucky (69-51) last week. Sophomore Candace Morton recorded her third straight double-digit scoring outing with 10 points. In the last three games, she is averaging 11.0 points and 4.7 rebounds. Sophomore Bria'unna Buckner led team with 15 points in the loss. In Buckner's last two games at home she has scored 17 points (vs. Belmont) and 15 points (vs. Eastern Kentucky). Freshman Sydney Brown made her first career start versus the Lady Colonels. All of Jacksonville State's freshmen have started at least one contest. The Gamecocks will travel to Tennessee State on Wednesday before returning home to host Murray State on Saturday and Austin Peay on Monday.
 
MOREHEAD STATE EAGLES (3-3, 7-13): Morehead State fell at UT Martin (75-56) and defeated Southeast Missouri (70-64) last week. Morehead State has reached the 70-point plateau in its three OVC wins while scoring in the 50s in all three losses. Junior Terrice Robinson led the team in both games, scoring 40 points (20.0 ppg). Robinson needs just 49 more points this year to reach 400. Only 12 other players in school history have scored 400 or more points in a season. She has six 20-plus point outings this year and eight straight double-figures games. Junior Allie Turner scored 11 in each game. Turner now has 61 points in four career games versus Southeast Missouri. Sophomore Casey Ryans tied her career-high with 13 points versus the Redhawkds. Morehead State will host Tennessee State on Saturday and Belmont on Monday.
 
MURRAY STATE RACERS (4-3, 11-7): Murray State defeated SIUE (81-68) and Eastern Illinois (68-58) last week. Senior Mariah Robinson averaged 23.0 points last week. She tied a season-high with 31 points against the Cougars. She missed just one of her 10 free throw attempts for the week while also shooting 58.3 percent from the field and 52.9 percent from three-point range. Freshman Erika Sisk tied a career-high with 26 points against SIUE. Murray State will hit the road this week as the Racers travel to Jacksonville State on Saturday and Tennessee Tech on Monday.
 
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI REDHAWKS (2-4, 8-11): Southeast Missouri dropped a pair of home games last week, falling to UT Martin (82-71) and Morehead State (70-64). The Redhawks have allowed 73.3 points per game, during their three-game skid. Bailie Roberts tallied 20 points against Morehead State, marking the second time this season she has eclipsed the 20-point mark in a game. Roberts now has 867 career points, needing to average 13.3 points over the last 10 regular-season games to crack the 1,000-point plateau. Freshman Kara Wright averaged 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists over the two games. She shot 53.8 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range. Southeast Missouri will travel to Eastern Illinois on Saturday and SIUE on Monday.
 
SIUE COUGARS (3-4, 9-10): SIUE fell at Murray State (81-68) before picking up a win at Austin Peay (54-49) last week. The Cougars recorded back-to-back games of 50-plus rebounds with 52 against both Murray State and Austin Peay. Prior to the Murray State game, SIUE had not passed the 50-rebound mark in nearly four seasons. Senior Raven Berry averaged a double-double with 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per outing last week. She recorded a double-double in the first half alone against Austin Peay. Berry is now seventh on the school's all-time points list with 1,295. She also needs just 14 rebounds to become the all-time leader in boards. She became the second player in school history to pass the 900-board mark last week. Sophomore Ashley Capotosto recorded a team-leading eight offensive boards against Murray State. Freshman CoCo Moore recorded 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last week. SIUE will host UT Martin on Saturday and Southeast Missouri on Monday.
 
TENNESSEE STATE LADY TIGERS (2-3, 6-10): Tennessee State fell to Belmont (54-66) in its only game of the week. Senior Kesi Hess led the team with 21 points. She also recorded six rebounds and three steals. She hit five three-pointers to help her shoot 53.3 percent from the floor. Tennessee State has three games on the schedule this week as it hosts Jacksonville State on Wednesday before traveling to Morehead State on Saturday and Eastern Kentucky on Monday.
 
TENNESSEE TECH GOLDEN EAGLES (4-2, 10-9): Tennessee Tech fell to visiting UT Martin (81-63) in its only game of the week for it second straight loss. Senior Lashay Davis tied her career-high with 19 points versus the Skyhawks. She shot a career-best 63 percent from the floor and hit five three-pointers. Freshman Mariah Dean finished three boards shy of her first career double-double with 13 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes of action. Tennessee Tech will host Austin Peay on Saturday and Murray State on Monday.
 
UT MARTIN SKYHAWKS (5-2, 10-11): UT Martin picked up a trio of wins last week, defeating Southeast Missouri (82-71), Morehead State (75-56) and Tennessee Tech (81-63). Junior Jasmine Newsome averaged 27.3 points over the three games, including a season-high 36 against the Redhawks. Junior Heather Butler extended her streak with a least one made three-pointer to 67 and is closing in on the NCAA Division I record of 69. Butler also extended her double-figure scoring streak to 84 games. The Skyhawks had five players reach double-digits in points versus Tech marking the first time that has happened since Feb. 18, 2010. Freshman Katie Schubert and Sydney Vanlandingham had career-highs with 14 and 12 points, respectively, at Tennessee Tech. UT Martin will travel to SIUE on Saturday and Eastern Illinois on Monday.
