Complete List of NFL Combine Invitees
Five Ohio Valley Conference football players have received official invitations to the 2013 National Football League Combine which will be held in Indianapolis from Feb. 20-26.
The players were Eastern Kentucky wide receiver
Tyrone Goard, Jacksonville State wide receiver
Alan Bonner, Tennessee State offensive lineman
Rogers Gaines, Tennessee Tech wide receiver
Da'Rick Rogers and UT Martin defensive lineman
Montori Hughes.
Players from around the nation will go through various drills and workouts and try to impress scouts, coaches and general managers. While the NFL Combine is merely one aspect of the scouting process, it can often be a way for players to make a name for themselves.
Workouts are separated by position, as special teams players, tight ends and offensive linemen start on Saturday, Feb. 23. On Sunday, Feb. 24, quarterbacks, wide receivers and running backs take the field. Then, defensive linemen and linebackers go on Monday, Feb. 25, and the combine wraps up with defensive backs on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
