Jacksonville State won its second straight and seventh overall OVC Rifle Championship. The Gamecocks, who won the smallbore title on Saturday, took the air rifle crown with a score of 2345 to win the overall championship with a combined score of 4653.
Murray State came in second with a score of 4587 while the UT Martin mixed team earned third wiith a mark of 4571. Morehead State finished fourth with a 4540 followed by Columbus State (4539) and the Skyhawks women's squad (4452).
JSU’s Sam Muegge earned his second straight Smallbore Athlete of the Year honor while the Gamecocks Monica Fyfe was named the Air Rifle Athlete of the Year. Jacksonville State’s Ron Frost took home his fifth Coach of the Year award. Freshman of the Year honors went to Murray State’s Tessa Howald.
