MURRAY, Ky. -
Second-seeded Belmont defeated No. 6 Eastern Illinois in four sets (17-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-17) to advance to the finals of the 2014 OVC Volleyball Championship. This marks the second time that Bruins have reached the championship match. Belmont will face the winner of the Murray State/Tennessee Tech match Saturday at 7 p.m. CT. The match can be seen on the OVC Digital Network as well as ESPN3.

Scarlet Gable led the Bruins with a match-high 18 kills while Arianna Person registered a double-double with 16 kills and 12 digs. Emma Price also recorded a double-double with 46 assists and 12 digs. Emily Richards paced the defense with 15 digs.

Eastern Illinois was led by Allie Hueston with 15 kills while Chelsea Lee added 10. Marah Bradbury dished out a team-high 40 assists in the match while Stephanie Wallace led all players with 24 digs.

The Panthers finished the season with a 15-16 overall record.

Top-seeded Murray State defeated No. 5 Tennessee Tech in three sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-13) to advance to the finals of the 2014 OVC Volleyball Championship. The Racers will face No. 2 Belmont Saturday at 7 p.m. The match can be seen on the OVC Digital Network as well as ESPN3.

Taylor Olden paced the Racers with 12 kills while Scottie Ingram and Krsiten Besselsen each registered a double-double. Ingram had 10 kills and 10 digs while Besselsen had 11 kills and 11 digs. Ellie Lorenz added 14 digs while Sam Bedard dished out 37 assists.

Tennessee Tech was led by Cody Dodd with seven kills and nine digs. Sharon Anderson recorded a team-high 21 assits.

The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 15-9 overall mark.
