MALE TRACK ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Calvin Edwards, So., Joliet, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
Edwards won the 400 meter dash with a meet record time of 47.35. The time is the third fastest in EIU history and also ranks 49
th in the nation. It is also the fastest in the OVC this season. He also ran the anchor leg on the 4x400-meter relay team.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Hannah Wittman, So., Lindenhurst, Ill. - Belmont
Wittman placed fifth in the mile at the Southern Miss Cupid Classic with a time of 4:55.94. The time is a new school record and a personal best for Wittman. She also now owns the top spot on the OVC best list.

Co-MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mick Viken, R-Sr., Arlington Heights, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
Viken won the men’s pole vault at the Grand Valley State Big Meet and helped the Panther men pick up a first place team finish. He cleared a season-best 17’09.25” at the meet which ranks first in the OVC and 12
th in the nation.
La’Derrick Ward, Jr., Alorton, Ill. – SIUE
Ward took first place in the long jump at the Hoosier Hills Relays with a leap of 25’03.50”. He set a new school record and now ranks first in the OVC and eighth nationally in the long jump.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tonia Pratt, Jr., Michigan Center, Mich. – Murray State
Pratt finished third in the weight throw with a new school record toss of 62’01.00” at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. Her mark is first in the OVC this season. Pratt entered into the elite group of the shot put and finished eighth with a mark of 48’00.75”
