Mauricio Antun, Jr., Sao Paulo, Brazil – Belmont
For the second straight week, Antun has been named OVC men’s tennis player of the week. Coming off another strong week in leading Belmont to two tightly contested 4-3 conference wins over Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky, the junior went 2-0 in both the No. 1 singles and doubles spot. In singles action, Mauricio defeated Morehead State’s Jack Swindells 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) on Saturday and Eastern Kentucky’s Daridge Saidi 6-0, 6-3 on Sunday. Teaming up with doubles partner, Marko Lovrinovic, the tandem defeated Morehead State’s Ji Hoon Heo and Jack Swindells 8-4 and Eastern Kentucky’s Daridge Saidi and Sebastian Mueller 8-0. Antun and Lovrinovic as a doubles team have now won 10 straight No. 1 doubles matches, while Antun has won 12 doubles matches in a row with his last doubles loss coming on January 25th. Mauricio is a perfect 10-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot and is 12-1 overall this season. With his two singles victories last week, Antun stretches his singles win streak at the No. 1 spot to five. Holding one of the OVC’s best No. 1 singles records on the season at 11-4, he is undefeated in both singles and doubles within conference play this season. This upcoming weekend Mauricio will put his undefeated conference play on the line as the Bruins get visits from both Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State on Saturday and Sunday.

Female Athlete of the Week
Andrea Eskauriatza, Jr., Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico – Murray State
Eskauriatza has helped Murray State get out to a 6-0 OVC record for the first time since the 2003-04 season. Last week Andrea led the Racers to three conference wins against Austin Peay, SIUE, and Eastern Illinois, while going a perfect 3-0 at the No.1 singles spot and 3-0 at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots. She defeated Austin Peay’s Ornella Di Salvo 6-3, 6-2, SIUE’s Monique Krutak 6-3, 7-6, and Eastern Illinois’ Janelle Prisner 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 1 singles spot. Eskauriatza and her doubles partner, Erin Patton, won at No. 2 doubles over Austin Peay, 8-2 and SIUE, 8-0. The doubles pair were moved up to No. 1 doubles against Eastern Illinois, where they won 8-4. Eskauriatza is undefeated in both singles and doubles within conference play, holding a 5-0 OVC record at No. 1 singles, a 4-0 OVC record at No. 2 doubles, and a 1-0 OVC record at No. 1 doubles. Andrea has now won eight of her last 10 matches at No. 1 singles and nine of her last 10 doubles matches. Eskauriatza has the second highest winning percentage in the OVC at the No. 1 singles spot and holds a 10-3 record this season. She also holds an OVC best 10-2 season record at No. 2 doubles and has the second highest winning percentage for overall doubles in the OVC this season with an 11-2 mark. Murray State has won eight of their last nine matches, with the only loss coming against then ranked #47 Tennessee. Eskauriatza will look to continue to lead the Racers in their winning ways this upcoming week as they get a visit from Eastern Kentucky on Saturday and then travel to Morehead State on Sunday.
