Murray State won the smallbore with a score of 2319 on the first day of the 2017 Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship. Jacksonville State finished second with 2298 points followed by the host Morehead State with 2292 points. UT Martin mixed team finished four with 2283 points followed by the Skyhawk women's team with 2214 points.
It marks the Racers second straight and 13th overall smallbore crown. Murray State's Ivan Roe won the individual title as he shot 587.
The teams will be back in action with the air rifle competition tomorrow beginning at 7:15 a.m. CT at the Button Rifle Range on the campus of Morehead State.
