Withers scored three goals as Murray State went 2-0 last week. She notched the game-winning scores in both contests. Withers scored a pair of goals in the win over South Alabama. She now has five on the season and 30 for her career. She finished the week with 11 shots with eight being on-goal.

AUSTIN PEAY (3-1-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Austin Peay defeated Western Kentucky and Lipscomb last week. The Governors have won their last three matches for the first time since Sept. 2016. Senior Kirstin Robinson scored the equalizer versus WKU and scored the lone goal against Lipscomb. She now has 17 goals in her career. Freshman goalkeeper Mary Parker Powell notched her first shutout of the season against Lipscomb. For the week, she allowed just one goal and made four saves in 180 minutes in net. Austin Peay will host Georgia State on Friday before returning home to host Alabama A&M on Sunday.
BELMONT (3-0-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Belmont defeated Western Carolina and Tennessee Wesleyan to move to 3-0 on the season for the first time in a decade. The Bruins have tied their best goal output, scoring 11, in the first three games since 2016. Freshman Sydney Cason scored a pair of goals, including the game-winning goal against Western Carolina. She finished the week with seven shots, four of which were on goal. Senior defender Heather Ferrari was part of a defense that earned the shutout against Tennessee Wesleyan. She also recorded an assist against WCU. Belmont will host Tennessee on Friday before traveling to Valparaiso on Sunday.
EASTERN ILLINOIS (2-1-1 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Eastern Illinois defeated Green Bay before falling to Milwaukee last week. Sophomore Sarah DeWolf scored her second game-winning goal of the season. Against Milwaukee, DeWolf was credited with one of the Panthers three shots on goal. Eastern Illinois will travel to Valparaiso on Friday before returning home to host Chicago State on Sunday.
EASTERN KENTUCKY (1-2-1 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Eastern Kentucky fell to Kentucky before defeating IUPUI in double overtime last week. It marked the Colonels first double overtime victory since 2011. Senior Jordan Foster scored her first goal of the season in the loss to Kentucky. She followed that up with netting the game-winner in the 108th minute against IUPUI. Foster recorded 12 shots over the two matches with five of them being on goal. Eastern Kentucky will travel to Xavier on Friday for its only match of the week.
JACKSONVILLE STATE (2-1-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Jacksonville State defeated Middle Tennessee and played to a scoreless draw with Georgia State last week. Sophomore Danielle Monroe scored a pair of goals versus MTSU, including the game-winner. She finished the weekend with seven shots, five of the coming on goal. Sophomore Danelle Lindo played all 200 minutes for the Gamecocks last week. She was part of a defense that allowed just one goal over the two matches. Senior Goalkeeper Caroline Robinson gave up just one goal and made four saves last week. She recorded the shutout in the draw with Georgia State. Jacksonville State will travel to the South Alabama Invitational where it will play Troy on Friday and host South Alabama on Sunday.
MOREHEAD STATE (0-3-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Morehead State fell to Bowling Green in its only match of the week. Junior goalkeeper Michelle Washburn gave up two goals and made nine saves as she logged 90 minutes in net. She faced 25 shots in the match. Morehead State will hit the road this week as it will travel to Kennesaw State on Friday and Chattanooga on Sunday.
MURRAY STATE (3-0-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Murray State defeated Troy and South Alabama last week to move to 3-0 on the season. Senior Harriet Withers recorded three goals over the two matches, including two game winners. She scored a pair of goals versus South Alabama. Withers needs just four goals to tie Murray State’s all-time mark of 34 career goals. Junior Cari Cain played every minute last week. She tallied an assist in the win over Troy. Junior goalkeeper Alex Steigerwald gave up her first two goals of the season last week. She played 180 minutes and made six saves. Murray State will travel to Northern Kentucky on Sunday.
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI (3-1-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Southeast Missouri fell to Milwaukee before defeating Green Bay last week. Sophomore Esmie Gonzales scored the game-winner versus Green Bay. She recorded career-highs of eight shots and five shots on goal in the contest. Junior Maddi Karstens played all 180 minutes on defense last week. She was part of a back line that allowed just one goal over two matches. She also recorded an assist on Gonzales’ goal. Senior goalkeeper Kindra Lierz logged 180 minutes in goal last week, allowing just one goal and making five saves. She moved to second on Southeast Missouri’s all-time saves list with 231. The Redhawks will travel to Missouri State on Friday for its only game of the week.
SIUE (2-1-0 overall. 0-0-0 OVC): SIUE defeated Western Illinois in its only match last week. Junior Courtney Benning scored the lone goal versus WIU in overtime. She finished the game with a pair of shots. Senior Juli Rossi picked up the shutout, making nine saves in the 96:48 minutes in goal. The Cougars will be back in action this Thursday when it hosts Saint Louis before traveling to UIC on Sunday.
TENNESSEE TECH (2-1-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): Tennessee Tech defeated Western Carolina last week. It marked the first time since the 2000 season that Tech has beaten WCU. Sophomroe Dani Shartouny scored the lone goal. It marked the second career game-winner of her career. Junior Molly Kafader was part of a defense that limited the Catamounts to nine shots. Junior goalkeeper Kari Naerdemann notched her 20th career shutout, playing all 90 minutes versus WCU. She made five stops in the match. The Golden Eagles will host Middle Tennessee on Friday and Georgia State on Sunday.
UT MARTIN (1-3-0 overall, 0-0-0 OVC): UT Martin fell to UAB and Western Kentucky last week. Freshman Vanessa Dwumfour-Poku scored her first collegiate goal versus UAB. Freshman goalkeeper Erica Myers recorded 16 saves over the two matches, tallying eight in each match. Junior Katelyn Colvin picked up her third assist on the year against UAB. UT Martin will host Chattanooga on Friday before traveling to Lipscomb on Sunday.
