CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Murray State defeated Austin Peay (25-15, 25-20, 25-22) to win the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship. With the win, the Racers earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. Murray State will find out its opponent during the selection show on Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
Rachell Giustino led the Racers with match-high 14 kills. She had just two errors for a .444 hitting percentage while also recording seven digs. Dacia Brown had 13 kills, three digs and three blocks. Rachel Holthaus added 10 kills and eight digs. Ashley McBee notched a double-double with 40 kills and 12 digs. Becca Fernadez led all players with 15 digs.
Austin Peay was led by Cecily Gable with nine kills while Jenna Panning had eight. Brooke Moore paced the team with 13 digs to go with six kills. Kristen Stucker dished out 23 assists to go with seven digs.
