Male Athlete of the Week
Ramon van Flymen, Senior, Oosthuizen, Netherlands – Eastern Kentucky
Flymen had a great weekend of play against Eastern Illinois and Group of Five member, Xavier University. At No.1 singles he defeated EIU’s Freddie O’Brien in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 and continued his dominant play against the Xavier’s No.1 player winning the match 6-3, 6-4. In doubles action, Flymen paired with Gabe Ruiz at the No.1 position and came out victorious over the Panthers, 6-1. The duo led at Xavier, 5-4, until the match was called.

Female Athlete of the Week
Amina Hadzic, Jr., Esbjerg, Denmark – Murray State University
Hadzic has been on a roll in her singles matches, winning her last 10 singles matches, and it continued during this last week of play. She went undefeated in all three of No.3 singles matches against Bradley, Illinois State and Jacksonville State and this helped the Racers continue their winning streak to five matches. Against Bradley and Illinois State she won both of her matches in straight sets, and then had a battle against Jacksonville State’s Malin Buechner where she won 7-5, 5-7, 6-2. Hadzic partnered with Anja Loncarevic in doubles play and went 1-0 in No.1 doubles and 1-1 in No.2 doubles.
