OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Portais was Jacksonville State's No. 5 golfer to begin the Golfweek Program Challenge event held at the True Blue Golf Course in Myrtle Beach. The sophomore carded rounds of 74-71-65 to finish at 210 (-6) and place eighth in a competitive field of 75 golfers. He equaled his collegiate career low round of 71 during the second round, and bested it by six shots with his final round 65 (-7) on Tuesday. The round of 65 was the sixth-best in JSU history and the 7-under day was the fifth-best round versus par in school history. Portais played a bogey-free final round that saw him make five birdies and an eagle. His play helped Jacksonville State to a second place team finish out of 14 teams. The Gamecocks combined for a final round score of 271, the third-lowest round in school history.

OVC Female Golfer of the Week

Holmslykke carded round of 69-71-72 to finish in a tie for first place out of 98 competitors at the Missouri State Payne Stewart Invitational. Her total of 212 (-1) put her into a playoff with Memphis' Sydney Colwell, where she finished second after two holes. Holmslykke's play helped the Racers to a third place finish out of 15 teams.
