#OVCforChange Engagement Series: Sage Stockton

As part of the #OVCforChange initiative, OVC student-athletes, coaches and administrators will engage in dialogue to help shape a course of action and invoke change on a variety of social issues impacting their lives.

This week's feature is with Sage Stockton, a alumni of the Tennessee Tech football program and the OVC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Sage is currently working as the Assistant Director of Development at the Vanderbilt University Law School.

Why is it important to be an advocate for social change/justice?
"No man or woman should be defined by anything other than their character. Holding someone accountable for something based on an outward appearance is a true show of ignorance. One of my favorite things about being involved with SAAC was the diversity of our members, which led to me being able to see things through a different paradigm that I would never have been aware of before. Our main goal as human’s now has to be to follow the greatest commandment ever given, and to love everyone around us."
