Murray State Wins 2024 OVC Rifle Championship

MOREHEAD, Ky. - Murray State won its fourth-straight and 18th overall Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship, finishing with an aggregate of 4708. The Racers won the smallbore on Saturday and finished the air rifle with a top score of 2375 on Sunday.
 
Host Morehead State came in second overall with a score of 4655 while UT Martin followed with 4624.

Murray State's Caroline Martin won the Air Rifle competition with a score of 596, one point ahead of teammate Scott Patterson. Martin was named OVC Freshman of the Year while Patterson was named Air Rifle Athlete of the Year.

MSU's Matias Kiuru earned Smallbore Athlete of the Year for a record fifth-straight time in his career. 

Murray State's Alan Lollar was tabbed OVC Coach of the Year for the ninth time in his career.
