OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Maxwell claimed medalist honors at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate held at the Sevierville Golf Club. The sophomore carded scores of 73-70-71 to finish at 214 (+1) and top the field of 92 players by a shot. Maxwell was tied for the individual lead entering the final hole, where he knocked in an eight-foot birdie putt to win the title.

OVC Female Golfer of the Week

Griffith took medalist honors at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate held at the Sevierville Golf Club. The freshman had rounds of 71-76-73 to finish at 220 (+7) to top the field of 60 competitors. She became the first TTU golfer to capture medalist honors at the 11th annual event. Overall it was the first medalist win by a Golden Eagle since October 2016. Griffith led the event wire-to-wire. She currently ranks sixth in the OVC in scoring average (75.3).
