BRYAN, Texas - With their first-ever trip to the NCAA Regional Championships now in the program record book, the Little Rock Women's Golf team can use this experience for future competition after concluding the three-day event Wednesday at the Traditions Club with their best round of the tournament.
Little Rock carded a 302 (+14) in the final round, bringing the Trojans' three-day total to 920 (+56), and putting them one stroke ahead of Sacred Heart for 11th place. LSU (-8) won the regional title and will advance to the national championships along with SMU (-4), Clemson (-4), Vanderbilt (+1) and host Texas A&M (+6).
Senior Agatha Alesson turned in the best tournament for Little Rock, finishing just outside of the top 20 at 4-over. She was 2-over (74) on Wednesday and finished with three-day totals of 74-72-74 (220). Freshman Eleonore Aernouts turned in the best round of the day for Little Rock, finishing 1-over (73) on Wednesday to finish at 15-over for the event (73-85-73=231).
Fehild Graesel finished 14-over (230) with rounds of 77-78-75, the second-best total for Little Rock at the event. Anna Dawson shot a round of 80 on Wednesday, putting her at 26-over (242) for the tournament (84-78-80). Viktoria Krnacova played the third round in place of Katja Mueller and finished the round at 18-over (90).
Ingrid Lindblad (-12) of LSU won the individual title, followed by Clemson's Annabelle Pancake (-9), Vanderbilt's Virginie Ding (-7), Adela Cernousek (-7) of Texas A&M, and Kansas State's Carla Bernat (-7).
