Jill Lambrechts has been named a third-team Academic All-America® by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Lambrechts is the 316th OVC student-athlete to earn Academic All-America honors since the program began in the 1970s (and third of the 2023-24 academic year), and the fourth this academic year. She is one of just 20 players nationally at the Division I level to earn the award this season. She is the first OVC student-athlete to ever win the award as a member of the women’s tennis All-America team.
Lambrechts is completing a Master of Science in biological sciences with a 4.000 GPA and posted a 16-7 singles record. She was named first team All-Ohio Valley Conference and helped the Cougars earn a birth to the NCAA tournament.
To be eligible to be selected, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and excel on the court.
