OVC Male Golfer of the Month

Kaufmann completed a near perfect month, captured Golfer of the Month honors after winning three Golfer of the Week honors. The junior averaged 68.13 strokes over eight rounds (1.3 strokes ahead of the next golfer in the league) and compiled an impressive 303-2 individual head-to-head record. Kaufmann won the Grover Page Classic (topping a field of 99) and finished second at the Dolenc Invitational (three shots behind the medalist) and second at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational (once again three shots behind the medalist). All eight of his rounds were under par as he helped the SIUE team to a pair of team championships.

OVC Female Golfer of the Month

Vynne recorded three Top 10 finishes in her first three collegiate events during the month of September. Over nine rounds she averaged 71.6 rounds, which currently ranks second in the OVC. She opened the month with an eighth place finish at Illinois State, then improved one spot to eighth at the Maverick Classic. She capped her month with a three-round score of 209 (-7) which placed her fourth out of 88 at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
