FLORIDA STATE 87, UT MARTIN 73
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team went toe-to-toe with Florida State for a majority of tonight’s contest but turnovers hampered the Skyhawks in an 87-73 setback at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
UT Martin trailed by only one possession (43-40) at the halftime break and was within seven points with just under five minutes remaining in the contest. However, the Skyhawks committed 26 turnovers which led to a 33-4 point differential for the Seminoles.
Andrija Bukumirovic continued his remarkable start to the season with game-highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds for his second double-double of 2025-26. Matas Deniusas (11 points), and Dragos Lungu (10 points, career-best eight rebounds, four assists) concluded the double-digit scorers for UT Martin. Filip Petkovski (nine points, six assists, five rebounds), Afan Trnka (eight points, five assists, four rebounds) and Luca Colceag (seven points, two blocks) provided notable scoring contributions for the Skyhawks (3-1), who outrebounded Florida State by a 41-34 margin and shot 40.7 percent (11-for-27) from three-point range.
Cam Miles’ 17 points led five Seminoles in double figures in the scoring column. Robert McCray V added 16 points with seven assists while Alex Steen (13 points), Lajae Jones (12 points) and AJ Swinton (12 points) led Florida State, who honored its former head coach and UT Martin alum Leonard Hamilton with a retirement recognition at halftime.
UT Martin came out hot with seven of the first nine points of the contest. The Seminoles (3-1) eventually used a 7-0 run to go ahead by six points but a pair of Lungu free throws with 5:28 left in the first half put the Skyhawks back on top by a 31-29 margin.
The score was knotted at 40-all until a late Florida State three-pointer in the first half gave the host squad a lead at the break. Bukumirovic accounted for game-highs of 14 points and seven rebounds in the opening half while McCray’s 12 points guided the Seminoles.
Florida State scored 14 unanswered points in the early stages of the second half but UT Martin kept fighting. A four-point play by Colceag was followed by a Bukumirovic triple to pull the Skyhawks back within single digits (68-60) with 8:29 to go.
Bukumirovic buried a three-pointer at the 4:52 mark to trim UT Martin’s deficit to 74-67 but that was ultimately as close as the Skyhawks would get the rest of the way.
MURRAY STATE 89, LITTLE ROCK 68
MURRAY, Ky. - Little Rock delivered long stretches of tough, confident basketball on the road and repeatedly challenged a veteran Murray State squad before the Racers' hot perimeter shooting proved the difference in an 89–68 decision Tuesday night.
The Trojans set the tone early with assertiveness on both ends of the floor, matching Murray State shot-for-shot to open the game. Kachi Nzeh ignited the offense with a baseline jumper, and Tuongthach Gatkek followed with a strong drive to the rim for a 4–2 lead. After the Racers briefly pulled even, Nzeh powered inside for a tip-in, and a fast-break layup to complete an 8–2 run that put Little Rock firmly in control at 8–2.
Little Rock (2-3) continued to attack the paint with purpose. Johnathan Lawson fed Nzeh for another close-range bucket, and Terrion Burgess crashed the glass for a second-chance score that helped the Trojans maintain a 13–12 edge. Even as Murray State warmed up from three, Little Rock's energy never dipped.
The Trojans repeatedly answered with hustle plays and momentum-swinging highlights. Cameron Wallace grabbed a defensive board, pushed the length of the floor, and scored in transition. Moments later, Burgess soared for a powerful dunk, electrifying the Little Rock bench. Wallace then jumped a passing lane for a steal, leading to another fast-break finish for Hughes. Lawson capped the surge by threading a perfect pass to Burgess in the corner for a three that pulled the Trojans within 52–44 late in the first half.
Coming out of halftime, Little Rock kept attacking. Burgess muscled in a basket through contact, Wallace set up Gatkek for a two-handed dunk, and Lawson drilled a midrange jumper as the Trojans trimmed the deficit back into single digits. Their interior scoring and willingness to pressure the ball kept the game competitive deep into the second half.
The Racers' outside shooting—14 made threes—ultimately proved the separator.
IOWA 99, SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 70
IOWA CITY, Iowa - Southeast Missouri (1-4) fell to Big Ten Conference foe Iowa (4-0) by a score of 99-70 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena Tuesday night.

Terry's two free throws cut the Hawkeyes lead to 86-67 with 3:48 to go and that was as close as the Redhawks could get.
Almodovar went 6-of-8 from the field and made a pair of 3-pointers, while Terry made all five of his field goals to go along with four rebounds. Stacker shot 4-of-9 from the field in his fourth game with double figures in the scoring column.

For the game, the Redhawks shot a season-best 52 percent (26-of-50) from the floor.
Alvaro Folgueiras led Iowa with 16 points off the bench. Folgueiras was one of 11 players who scored for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa outscored SEMO by a +17 margin (29-12) at the free throw line and made 10 three-pointers. The Hawkeyes shot 61.2 percent (30-of-49) from the field and 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from long range.
