OVC Players of the Week
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophia Loden, G, Jr., 5-11, Mascoutah, Ill. – Southern Indiana
Loden averaged a double-double for the week with 18.5 points and 11.5 rebounds/game for USI. The junior shot 57-percent overall and 56-percent from three-point range, while collecting five assists and had two steals. She posted a career-high 22 points on 10-14 shooting and hauled in 10 rebounds in only 19 minutes of play against Fisk for her second double-double of the season. Loden tallied her second consecutive double-double with 15 points and a career-best 13 rebounds against Northern Kentucky. Three of her six made field goals came from three-point range. The junior also dished out four assists against the Norse.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Aleshia Jones, G, Gr., 5-7, Leavenworth, Kan. – Lindenwood
Jones played a key role in two wins in three days for Lindenwood at the Rainbow Showdown. The graduate opened with a season-high 25 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter against Santa Clara. She followed with a near double-double (19 points, 9 rebounds) in a win over Hawaii and a 14 point performance versus Vermont. Jones shot 52-percent from the field and averaged 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists/game.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Kiyoko Proctor, G, Fr., 5-6, Alton, Ill. – SIUE
Proctor recorded 16 points and four rebounds in the Cougars win over Evansville. The freshman was 6-of-12 (.500) from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line. She added four assists and three steals.
