OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Turnell finished tied for second at The Prestige, hosted by UC Davis at PGA West in La Quinta, California. The event included 24 total teams, including 11 teams ranked in the Top 50 nationally. Turnell's play helped the Trojans, who entered the event ranked No. 43, to a fourth place finish. The field of 120 competitors included 26 players ranked in the Top 150 nationally, including two in the Top 10. The freshman had rounds of 68-70-67 to finish at 205 (-8), which was three shots behind the medalist. Turnell had a 4-under round in Wednesday's final round, including five consecutive birdies at the turn to go from +1 to -4 and jump up six spots in the final standings. It marked his first Top 10 finish of his freshman season. Through 18 rounds this year, his 72.1 stroke average ranks sixth in the OVC.

OVC Female Golfer of the Week
Anna Dawson · Sr. · Waterford, Ireland · Little Rock
Dawson compiled a 2-1 record at the Great River Cup Match Play event held at the Windance Country Club in Gulfport, Mississippi. Dawson lost 2&1 to Arkansas State in her first match, but rebounded with a 6&5 win over Utah Valley's No. 2 player and a 4&3 victory against Middle Tennessee on the final day. Outside of match play events this season, Dawson has played 18 stroke play round and ranks second in the OVC among active players in stroke average (73.4). This marks her second OVC Golfer of the Week award of the season and sixth of her career.
