OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week
Nick Newby, R-Sr., Burleson, Texas – Little Rock
• Garnered two second place finishes at the Gorilla Classic hosted by Pittsburg State.
• Crossed the line in 1:50.50 in a field of 16 in the 800 meters.
• The time tops the OVC.
• Was a member of the distance medley relay which finished in a time of 9:36.00.
• The finish is the best time in the OVC and ranks fourth in the nation.

Co-OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week
Lucy Singleton, Sr., Stanford, Ky. – Morehead State
• Picked up two top 10 finishes at the Marshall Invitational.
• Finished second in a field of 16 in the mile in a time of 4:50.19, breaking a 44-year-old school record.
• The result is the fastest time in the OVC.
• Placed fifth out of 27 in the 800 meter in 2:16.44.
• The time ranks sixth in the OVC.

Hadessah Austin, Fr., Attica, Ind. – Southern Indiana
• Competed in the 5,000 meter run at the David Hemry Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University.
• Placed 66th in a field of 167 runners.
• Finished in a time of 16:28.57, which is the fastest time in the OVC.

OVC Male Field Athlete of the Week
Ramsey Hunt, Gr., Oakland, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
• Topped the podium in the Long Jump at the GVSU Big Meet.
• Recorded a distance of 7.70 meters.
• The result ranks first in the OVC and 25th in the country.

Co-OVC Female Field Athlete of the Week
Kaitlyn Cook, Fr., Chesterfield, Va.  – Tennessee State
• Earned a top five finish at the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.
• Placed fourth in the triple jump.
• Landed at a distance of 40’4.75” (12.31m).
• The result ranks second in the OVC and is the top mark for a freshman.

Emma Ponx, Jr., Oswego, Ill. – Western Illinois
• Reached the podium in the pole vault at the Ichabod Invitational hosted by Washburn University.
• Placed third in a field of 16 with a school record 3.94 meters.
• The height ranks second in the OVC.

OVC Male Freshman of the Week
Abraham Johnson, Fr., Westmont, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
• Secured two medals at the GVSU Big Meet.
• Claimed the top spot in the triple jump with a distance of 15.20 meters.
• The mark is the second best mark in the OVC.
• Finished third in a field of 16 in the high jump.
• Reached a height of 1.98 meters.
• The mark tops all conference freshmen.
