OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Chumley helped the Skyhawk golf squad to its fourth-straight top-five team finish, doing so at the Gulf Coast Collegiate held at the English Turn Golf & Country Club in New Orleans. UTM finished fifth overall in a field of 18 teams after he fired rounds of 72-71-72 to finish at 215 (-1). That helped Chumley finished sixth overall in the field of 96 competitors. It marked his second career Top 10 finish. Chumley ranked in the top-10 in the entire tournament in par-3 scoring (2.92, fourth), birdies (12, sixth) and par-5 scoring (4.67, ninth). He also added an eagle in Round 3, one of only seven throughout the field in the final round. Through 11 rounds this season he ranks 11th in the OVC in stroke average (72.6).
