MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Morehead State completed a wire-to-wire lead to claim the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship on Tuesday.
It is the third overall title for the Eagles, joining titles won in 2011 and 2023.
The Eagles won by 29 shots, the third-longest margin of victory in OVC history, trailing only wins in 2003 (39 shots) and 1998 (36). They had a 54-hole team total of 900 (+36). Little Rock was second (+65) and followed by Tennessee Tech (+72), Lindenwood (+100), Western Illinois (+102), Bryant (+137), Southern Indiana (+144), Eastern Illinois (+148) and Tennessee State (+174).
The final round conditions featured windy conditions all over the course.
With the victory, Morehead State earned the OVC's automatic bid into the NCAA Championship. The 2025 field will be announced on Wednesday, April 23 on the Golf Channel at 1 p.m. ET. The NCAA Regionals will be held May 5-7 and take place in Columbus, Ohio; Charlottesville, Virginia; Gold Canyon, Arizona; Lexington, Kentucky; Lubbock, Texas and Norman, Oklahoma.
Morehead State junior Tuva Isebakke claimed medalist honors after carding rounds of 74-69-79 to finish at 222 (+6). She finished two shots ahead of the field.
After the final round the coaches voted Isebakke the OVC Player of the Year. She becomes the sixth person from her school to win the award and first since 2023.
In addition, Morehead State’s Stephanie Barker was voted the Bobby Nichols OVC Coach of the Year for the third time in her career (2011, 2023, 2025).
The All-Tournament Team, which is comprised of the top five finishers and ties, included Isebakke, her teammates Tavia Burgess and Amelia Greenlee, Little Rock’s Anna Dawson and Tennessee Tech’s Chloe Griffith.
For the week the course played 6,014 yards and was a par 72.
The OVC men's golf championship is next on the schedule, beginning Sunday morning at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
