ST. LOUIS - Day two of the 2025 OVC Women's Tennis Championship is set with the top four seeds squaring off for a chance to advance to the title match. The first match of the day features the top seeded Southeast Missouri against No. 4 SIUE in a rematch of last years championship final. The battle is set for 10:00 a.m. CT, at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The second match of the day is betwwen No. 2 Western Illinois versus #3 Bryant.
This year marks the 49th time the women's championship has been contested (it was first held in 1977).

ST. LOUIS - Southeast Missouri Tennis (15-9) advances to the OVC Championship with a 4-3 win against Southern Illinois Edwardsville (14-8) in today's semifinal match at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
The Redhawks advance to their fifth straight championship match and currently ride a seven match win streak.
The Freshman Yontha Tadoum clinched the match for the Redhawks with a three-set thriller that had everyone's hearts racing. Tadoum faced off against Margaux Guibal Britt on court two. Britt won the first set 6-4 but Tadoum quickly tied the set wins 1-1 with a 6-2 win in the second set.
Set three had everyone on their feet that featured back and forth rally's all set long. Tadoum would win a point then Britt would tie it right back up. Britt would tie it up 6-6 and send it to the tie break. Down 5-6 in the Tie break, Tadoum would serve an Ace to tie it up 6-6. She then would win 9-7 and clinch the match for the Redhawks.
The match started with doubles play and went down the wire. The point would be clinched on court two just like it was during the regular season. SIUE would come away with the doubles point this time.
Juliette Demunck and Yontha Tadoum continued their winning ways in dominating fashion with a 6-1 victory over Paige Duncan and Chloe Koons. The No. 3 pair have now won nine straight matches. The cougars would tie the doubles match when Amelia Gorman and Stefaniya Anikina won 6-2 against Maja Bajorek and Mia Mayerova. Lera Valeeva and Kristina Kozakova would have a battle against Payton Tomichek and Marguax Guibal Britt. The match would be tight until the cougars pulled away winning 6-3 to claim the doubles point.
Singles play would feature the same intense action as doubles.
Mia Mayerova scores the Redhawks first point with a dominating straight set win on court six. Mayerova won 6-1, 6-3 against Chloe Koons. Gorman defeated Lera Valeeva 7-5, 6-4 to give SIUE their second point. Kozakova tied the match 2-2 with a straight set win against Duncan winning 7-5, 6-4. Bajorek ended up losing a three-setter against Anikina. Bajorek fell 6-3 in set one then flipped it set 2 to win 6-2. Anikina then took set three 6-1.
Juliette Demunck had an incredible come from behind victory that lasted three sets. Demunck didn't have it in set one and fell 6-4 to Tomichek. Demunck then turned it on and took the next two sets 6-2, 6-1 not giving up an inch to tie the match 3-3.
The match then came down to the outcome on court two.

ST. LOUIS - The Bryant University women's tennis team is moving on to the championship match in the Ohio Valley Conference championship tournament with a perfect 4-0 win over Western Illinois Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs were leading the Leathernecks after doubles play with the first win coming from Natalia Vela and Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz. Yahli Noy and Caitlyn Munson clinched the point for the Black and Gold. Carrying the momentum into singles play, Bryant successfully clinched the win after victories from Caitlyn Munson, Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz, and Yahli Noy, who sealed the deal.
