Little Rock Leads After Round One of 2025 OVC Men's Golf Championship

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Little Rock is the leader by six shots after round one of the 2025 OVC Men's Golf Championship.

The OVC Championship is being played at Dalhousie Golf Club for the third time and first since 2023. The course played par 72 with yardage of 7,074 on Sunday. Sunday’s weather including windy conditions with gusts up to 30 miles per hour.

The Trojans were the only team under par, combining to shoot 6-under as a team.  UT Martin is in second place at even par with Morehead State and Lindenwood tied at +1.  The top four teams after Tuesday’s stroke play will advance to the Match Play portion of the event.   Western Illinois is fifth (+5) and followed by Southern Indiana (+11), SIUE (+12), Tennessee State (+12), Tennessee Tech (+14), Bryant (+14) and Eastern Illinois (+18).

Individually, UT Martin’s Jonathan Xoinis is the leader after a first round score of 68 (-4). He is one shot ahead of six players who finished Sunday with a round of 69 (-3).

The OVC Men's Golf Championship will continue with 18 holes of second round action on Monday. The action starts at 8:00 a.m. CT and live scoring can be accessed through links at OVCSports.com.
