CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Four teams are under par after round two of the 2025 OVC Men’s Golf Championship.
The OVC Championship is being played at Dalhousie Golf Club for the third time and first since 2023. The course played par 72 with yardage of 7,074 on Monday. Monday’s weather conditions were calm, a nice change of pace following Sunday’s gusty conditions.
No. 43 ranked Little Rock (-16), Lindenwood (-7), UT Martin (-7) and Morehead State (-4) find themselves in favorable positions to be the four teams to advance to Wednesday’s Match Play event that will determine the OVC Champion.
SIUE (+6) and Southern Indiana (+6) are within striking distance of the top four, 10 shots behind Morehead State.
The team standings are rounded out by Western Illinois (+19), Tennessee State (+19), Bryant (+22), Tennessee Tech (+24) and Eastern Illinois (+35).
Individually, Little Rock’s Rhett South had the low round of the tournament, carding a 7-under round of 65 to jump up eight spots and take the individual lead heading into the final 18 stroke play holes. South is at -7 for the tournament and is one shot ahead of UT Martin’s Jonathan Xoinis (who was the leader after round one). Xoinis had a 2-under round of 70 on Monday.
The OVC Men's Golf Championship will conclude the stroke play portion of the event with 18 holes of third round action on Tuesday. The action starts at 8:00 a.m. CT and live scoring can be accessed through links at OVCSports.com.
