Little Rock Wins 2025 OVC Men's Golf Championship

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – No 1 seed Little Rock topped No. 3 seed UT Martin in the Match Play Final to win the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship at Dalhousie Golf Club.

It marks the second title for the Trojans, who are now in its third year in the OVC. Little Rock also won in 2023, the last time the event was held at Dalhousie. The Trojans are currently ranked No. 49 nationally.

This marked the fourth year Match Play was used to determine the OVC Champion. In the morning’s semifinal matches No. 1 Little Rock topped No. 4 Morehead State 3.5-1.5, while No.3 UT Martin knocked off No. 2 seed Lindenwood 4-1.

After about a 45-minute break, the final match began at 1 p.m. The match would be decided on the 18th hole by Group 4, as OVC Player of the Year Matteo Cristoni made a birdie putt to win his match and give the Trojans a 3-2 victory.

With the victory, Little Rock earned the OVC's automatic bid into the NCAA Championship. The 2025 field will be announced on Wednesday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel.

The NCAA Regionals will be held May 12-14 in Amherst, Virginia; Auburn, Alabama; Bremerton, Washington; Reno, Nevada; Tallahassee, Florida and Urbana, Illinois. Following the Regionals the National Championship will be held May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.

UT Martin redshirt senior Jonathan Xoinis, who shared medalist honors after a score of 210 (-6), earned the OVC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.

For the week the course played a par 72 with yardage running 7,074.
