The 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship will tee-off this weekend on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in the state of Alabama. The 54-hole women's championship will be held April 13-15 at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
This marks fifth time the women's event has been held on the Fighting Joe Course; the Championship was also held there in 2008, 2014, 2022 and 2023 (and in 2018 and 2019 was held on the venue's Schoolmaster Course).
The women's golf championship will feature nine teams - Bryant, Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Little Rock, Morehead State, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Western Illinois. It marks the first championship for affiliate member Bryant. The teams will have a practice round on Saturday and tee off on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m.
This year's All-OVC and All-Newcomer Teams and Freshman of the Year will be announced prior to Saturday's practice round. The Player and Coach of the Year Awards as well as the All-Tournament and Tournament MVP awards will be presented at the conclusion of the championship.
RTJ at The Shoals is home to two 18-hole championship courses and lies between the Wheeler and Wilson dams on the Tennessee River. Wheeler Dam is named in honor of General Joseph "Fighting Joe" Wheeler - the only Confederate General to attain the same rank later in the United States Army. The Fighting Joe course at The Shoals was the first Trail course to break 8,000 yards. Travel + Leisure Golf named Fighting Joe one of the top new courses in 2004.
This year's event will be a par of 72 with yardages running between 6,098 and 6,153 yards.
