OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Twerdahl earned the first medalist victory of his collegiate career at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate, held at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee. The senior had rounds of 71-68-65 to finish at 204 (-9) and top the field of 92 by two shots. During Tuesday’s final round, he sank seven birdies on the way to a career-best 65, leaping from second-place to the top of the standings. Overall, he tapped in 16 birdies and helped lead UT Martin to a second-place finish in the 14-team field.

OVC Female Golfer of the Week

Kerr played in two events last week, registering a pair of Top 10 finishes. She became the week by placing second, one shot behind the medalist, at the WIU Intercollegiate, held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. She had rounds of 77-73-72 to finish at 222 (+9). She finished the tournament with 12 total birdies, with nine of them coming in rounds two and three. Two days later the team traveled to Omaha, Nebraska to compete in the Stampede at the Creek and the fifth year player had rounds of 83-71-79 to finish at 233 (+17) and place ninth in a field of 56. She ranks ninth in the OVC in stroke average (76.8).
