Milbrath Earns All-American Honors With 11th Place Finish at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.
– SIUE's Grant Milbrath finished the NCAA Indoor Championships in 11th place in the Weight Throw which earned his second-team All-American honors.

The last time an athlete was recognized as an All-American was during the 2017 indoor season, when Julian Harvey competed in the long jump and high jump. 
 
"I am just so proud of the way he competed," Assistant Coach Erin Wykoff said. "He came in ranked 15th and finished 11th, having the second furthest throw of his career in a loaded competition field."
 
In his first attempt he hit a mark of 20.12m (66-.25) and followed with a mark of 20.52m (67-4) in his second attempt. Milbrath finished the meet with a throw landing at 21.77m (71-5.25), his second best of the year.
