The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has announced its Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week presented by The Game Headwear, naming SIUE graduate outfielder Terrick Thompson-Allen National Co-Hitter of the Week.

The award follows his selection as the co-Player of the Week in the Ohio Valley Conference.

He opened the week going 3-4 at Illinois State, but really went off at Morehead State, going 10-16 with four home runs and 11 RBIs. He homered twice on Friday and once each on Saturday and Sunday.

Thompson-Allen capped the weekend by hitting for the cycle Sunday going 5-6 with 5 RBIs. He is the first Cougar to hit for the cycle since 2010.

The award is the first this year for a Cougar player and the first for Thompson-Allen in his career.
