Eastern Illinois' Stiverson Named NFCA All-Region

Eastern Illinois senior Lizzie Stiverson has been named to a National Fast Pitch Association (NFCA) Third Team All-Region team. Stiverson was a member of the Great Lakes Region squad as a third baseman.

The infielder was named the OVC Player of the Year after producing a.386 average with 10 doubles, a triple, four home runs, 40 runs scored and 28 RBI during the regular season. During OVC play, the Illinois transfer batted .470 with five doubles, four home runs, 19 RBI and 30 runs scored. She became EIU's fourth winner of the OVC Player of the Year joining Megan Burton (2021) and Kendall Grover (2024 & 2025). In addition to her OVC Player of the Year and first team honors, Stiverson was named to the All-OVC Newcomer team.

EIU has had at least one player earn All-Region honors for six straight seasons.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams.
