2016 OVC Football Championship
The OVC Football Championship was contested for the 69th time in 2016.
For the third-straight season Jacksonville State claimed the OVC Championship, finishing with a perfect 7-0 league record. The Gamecocks are 23-0 in OVC play over the past three seasons. Overall JSU has now claimed six OVC Championships (2003, 2004, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016).
