• All conference sponsored sports may earn a possible 12 points (12 conference members for 2020-21)
• For all sports (except Rifle, Men's Indoor Track, Men's Outdoor Track, Men's Tennis, Beach VB) the first place team earns 12 points, the second place team 11 points, etc.
• For Rifle, the first place team earns 12 points and each subsequent place earns points equal to 3 less than the team that placed one position higher.
• For Men's Indoor Track, the first place team earns 12 points and each subsequent place earns points equal to 1.75 less than the team that placed one position higher.
• For Men's Outdoor Track, the first place team earns 12 points and each subsequent place earns points equal to 1.5 less than the team that placed one position higher.
• For Men's Tennis and Beach Volleyball, the first place team earns 12 points and each subsequent place earns points equal to 2 less than the team that placed one position higher.
• Schools are required to count four main sports (football, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball) in their total plus the next eight highest place finishes among remaining sports regardless of gender. Belmont, Morehead State & SIUE, who do not sponsor football, will count baseball as one of their four main sports.
• Tournament champions (men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, men's tennis, women's tennis and beach volleyball) will receive one additional point added to their total points earned for that sport.
