Mr. Eblen held several positions while at Tennessee Tech including Head Basketball Coach, Head Football Coach, and director of athletics. While as athletic director from 1964-1974, TTU teams won 21 OVC championships or co-championships. He also began planning for the current athletic facilities, which included construction of Overall Field and the Convocation Center. Mr. Eblen served as OVC secretary preceding the league’s hiring a full-time commissioner. He also was OVC president from 1966-1967.
