Crawford poured in 28 points in his collegiate debut against Southeastern Conference foe South Carolina on Friday night. Crawford came off the bench to lead all scorers. Twenty-two (22) of his 28 points came in the second half as Jacksonville State lost by 13 points (89-76). Crawford was 4-of-7 from behind the arc as Jax State outscored USC in the second half. He also added four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

CO-PLAYER
Lester Hudson, G ? Sr., 6-2, 190 ? Memphis, Tenn. ? UT Martin
Hudson, the 2008 OVC Preseason Player of the Year, opened his season with 27 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and eight steals in the Skyhawks 121-56 victory over Maryville University. Hudson narrowly missed out on his second career quadruple-double, as he played just 27 minutes in the 65-point blowout victory. He scored 22 of his 27 points in the first half and grabbed all seven of his rebounds in the 16 minutes of action in the first half. Hudson was 10-of-17 from the field and 4-of-8 from 3-point range.

Robert Murry, G ? Jr., 5-10, 185 ? Cleveland, Ga. ? Morehead State
Murry, a transfer from Truett-McConnell Community College, averaged 12.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in a pair of Morehead State road contests last week. Murry led the Eagles in scoring with 14 points at ULM and tied for the team-high with 10 points at Southeastern Conference foe Vanderbilt on Sunday. At ULM Murry was 5-of-6 from the field, 1-of-1 from 3-point range and 3-of-3 from the field. He was a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe against Vandy (and 11-of-11 for the week).
