NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A run in with the Atlantic Sun Conference's regular-season champion saw Austin Peay State University's volleyball team on the wrong end of a three-set loss (25-13, 25-21, 25-21) to Lipscomb, Tuesday night, at Allen Arena.

After watching Lipscomb (23-3) lead wire-to-wire in the opening set, Austin Peay fought close contests in both the second in third sets.

Austin Peay (19-7) led in the second set, 15-14, but saw the Bisons piece together a 10-4 run and reach set point which came three points later. The Lady Govs led at 17-16 in the third set but a 9-4 Lipscomb run closed the match.

Senior outside hitter Stephanie Champine led Austin Peay with 13 kills and a .263 attack percentage. Junior middle blocker Jessica Mollman chipped in seven kills. Austin Peay recorded just 33 kills in the match.

Lipscomb, which won its 20th consecutive contest, recorded 50 kills and a .385 attack percentage. The Bisons also won both ends of the defensive battle, posting a 58-34 edge in digs and a 3-1 margin in blocks.

Freshman outside hitter led the Bisons with 16 kills and a .429 attack percentage.

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 3, SIU EDWARDSVILLE 1
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Three players finished with double figures in kills Tuesday as Southeast Missouri State defeated Southern Illinois University Edwardsville volleyball in four sets.

Senior Night didn't go as planned for the Cougars as they fell to SEMO 25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20.

Jessica Hemann led SIUE with 13 kills and an impressive .500 hitting percentage. Sydney Winslow added 11 kills for the Cougars.

SEMO plays nearly faultless volleyball in the first two sets with six attack errors in set one and one in set two. The Cougars, 1-24, turned the tables in the third set with four kills each from Winslow, Hemann and Noelle Franke.

SIUE's defense garnered 73 digs, including 20 from libero Sammi Minton

SEMO came up big with eight blocks, including five from Emily Maher. Emily Hughes recorded a .345 hitting percentage and a team-leading 13 kills. Karleigh Delong and Claire Keaton  added 12 kills each as the Redhawks improved to 11-15 overall.
