Eastern Kentucky's Colette Cole and Murray State's Rachael Isom were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA). Cole earned first team honors while Isom was selected to the second team.
Cole, a graduate student, carries a 3.98 GPA in sport management. The Booneville, Ky., native is averaging 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 42.6 percent from the floor this season. She has also tallied 12 blocks and 17 steals in 2009-10. Cole registered a season-best 24 points versus Towson earlier this year. As a first-team All-District selection, Cole will now be put on the Academic All-America national ballot.
A native of Cleveland, Tenn., Isom has a 4.00 GPA while majoring in English. The sophomore guard leads the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game this season. She has reached double-digits in scoring in 13 games this year, including her last six games. Isom has posted a season-high 26 points twice this year.
