Jax State's Garrott, Murray State's Davis Selected to FCS Senior Scout Bowl

Jacksonville State's Rodney Garrott and Murray State's Darrell Davis have been selected to play in the 2011 FCS Senior Scout Bowl on Saturday, December 17 at Doug Shaw Stadium.

The game serves to showcase the graduating senior talent of FCS level football and is presented by the Collegiate Development Football League.

Garrott, a linebacker, finished tied for second with 49 tackles for the Gamecocks in 2011. He also had eight tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass break-ups and three passes defended. The linebacker also started all 11 games for JSU and led the Gamecocks with six quarterback hurries, while also forcing a fumble and blocking a kick.

Davis, a cornerback, played in 11 games this season and registered 32 tackles (23 solo), 3.0 tackles-for-loss, one sack, one interception, five pass breakups, one fumble recovery and a blocked kick.
