CO-MALE TRACK ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Zye Boey, Sr.,
Decatur, Ill.Eastern Illinois
Boey won both the 60-meter dash in 6.76 and the 200-meter dash in 21.56 at EIU’s John Craft Invite this past weekend. His time for the 200 currently tops the OVC Bests List.

Will Lindsey, Jr., Lansing, Ill. – SIUE
Lindsey competed in the 60-meter hurdles at the Illini Classic, placing third with a time of 7.98. His time broke his own SIUE record and tops the Bests List. He also placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in 49.97, which sits at third on the Bests List.

CO-MALE FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Craig Robinson, Jr.,
Hayti, Mo.Southeast Missouri
Robinson won the weight throw at the Illini Classic with a toss of 59’-9.25 and placed third in the shot put with a distance of 52’-2.5, defeating several Big Ten and Big 12 competitors. His marks place second and third, respectively, on the OVC Bests List.

Donald Romero, Sr., Pleasanton, Calif.Eastern Illinois
Like Robinson, Romero won the weight throw with a distance of 60’-6.0 and placed third in the shot put with a distance of 50’-8.25 at the John Craft Invite.

CO-FEMALE TRACK ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Kosgei, Sr., Eldoret, KenyaEastern Kentucky
Kosgei claimed first in the 3,000-meter run and fourth in the mile at the Indiana Gladstein Invitational this past weekend. Her 3,000 meter time of 9:30.33 is a personal and OVC best, while her mile time of 4:50.07 also tops the OVC Bests List.

Alexis Love, Jr., Palmetto, Fla.Murray State
Love continues to dominate the sprints and the OVC Bests List. She won the 60-meter dash in 7.54 at the Illini Classic, breaking her own Murray State record, and placed third in the 200-meter dash in 24.89.

CO-FEMALE FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Courtney Gapelu, So.,
Independence, Mo.Southeast Missouri
Gapelu won the shot put with an impressive distance of 46’-10.25 at the Illini Classic this past weekend, topping the OVC Bests List for the first time this season.

Jade Riebold, So., Powell, OhioEastern Illinois
Riebold placed second in the pole vault at the John Craft Invite; however, her height of 13’-1.5 set the EIU school record and topped the OVC Bests List by a foot. She is the first female vaulter in Panther history to clear 13’.
