Butler scored 42 points against Tennessee State to set a new school single-game scoring mark. The old record of 40 points was set in 1989. She had 25 points versus Southeast Missouri. Butler was perfect at the free throw line in the two games and shot 65 percent from the field and 66 percent from behind the arc. She also had 11 assists and four steals over the two games.

Barber recorded her second straight double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds in the win over Longwood. It was her sixth double-double of the season. Barber posted 12 points and six rebounds against Tennessee Tech.

FRESHMAN

Chelsea Hudson, F • R-Fr., 5'11 • Midland, Texas • Tennessee State

Hudson shot over 65 percent from the field and was nearly perfect from the free throw line, with only one miss on 17 attempts. She scored 38 points and pulled down 17 rebounds against UT Martin. She had 10 offensive rebounds and two block shots versus the Skyhawks. In the win over Austin Peay, she had eight points, five rebounds, one assist and no turnovers in 18 minutes.

TEAM SNAPSHOTS

AUSTIN PEAY LADY GOVS (2-8, 5-18): Austin Peay fell to Tennessee State, 82-77, and Southeast Missouri, 69-60. Head coach Carrie Daniels used her 13th different lineup at Southeast Missouri as junior Kaitlyn Hill notched her season's first start. Hill recorded her second consecutive double-double (10 points/10 rebounds) against Tennessee State. She followed that up with a team-best 16 points versus the Redhawks. Senior Whitney Hanley scored 30 points in the Austin Peay loss to TSU. It was her third 30-point outing this season. The Lady Govs blocked a season-high seven shots against Tennessee State, two games after setting that mark at Eastern Illinois. Austin Peay will host UT Martin on Wednesday and Tennessee Tech on Monday.

EASTERN ILLINOIS PANTHERS (8-0, 17-4): Eastern Kentucky defeated Longwood, 80-62, before falling to Tennessee Tech, 82-67, last week. Junior Jade Barber tallied her second straight double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Lady Colonels past Longwood. Barber added 12 points and six rebounds versus Tennessee Tech. Sophomore Marie Carpenter averaged 15.5 points over the two games. She had 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal in the win over Longwood and followed that up with a team-best 13 points against Tennessee Tech. Alex Jones chipped in 11 points and seven boards versus Tech. Eastern Kentucky will travel to Tennessee State on Wednesday, SIUE on Saturday and Eastern Illinois on Monday.

EASTERN KENTUCKY LADY COLONELS (5-4, 10-10): Jacksonville State fell to Eastern Illinois (71-56) and SIUE (78-57) last week. Junior Danielle Vaughn almost had back-to-back double-doubles last week. She had eight points and 14 rebounds versus Eastern Illinois and followed that up with 11 points and eight boards against SIUE. She pulled down 17 defensive rebounds over the two games. Senior Destiny Lane averaged 10.5 points in the two games and pushed her double-digit scoring games to five after a 10-point outing against SIUE. Jacksonville State will host Tennessee Tech on Saturday before traveling to UT Martin on Monday.

MOREHEAD STATE EAGLES (4-4, 7-13): Morehead State fell to Tennessee Tech, 57-53, last week. The Eagles held onto an 11-point lead with 7:20 left to but hit just one more field goal. Tech held the Eagles without a field goal for a 16-minute span earlier in the game. Morehead State hit 17-of-24 free throws and forced 16 turnovers. Senior Courtney Lumpkin scored 19 points and continues to average better than 20 points per game in OVC contests. Junior Ashar Harris, who entered the night second in the nation in rebounds, grabbed 16 boards. Harris has averaged 15.1 rebounds in the last seven games and is only 84 boards shy of 1,000 for her career. Senior Linda Dixon registered 15 points, her team-high 17th game in double figures. Morehead State hosts Murray state on Wednesday before traveling to Eastern Illinois on Saturday and SIUE on Monday.

MURRAY STATE RACERS (4-4, 8-13): Murray State fell to Southern Illinois (74-57) and Eastern Illinois (80-63). Senior Kayla Lowe tallied a season-best 20 points off six three-pointers against Eastern Illinois. She set a career-high making seven three points versus SIU. Lowe scored 13 points and brought down six rebounds against the Salukis. Sophomore Erica Burgess hit double-digits in points in both games to extend her streak to seven straight games with 10 or more points. She also dished out seven assists versus the Panthers. Junior Mariah Robinson is now just 25 points from the 1,000 point club at Murray State. The Racers will travel to Morehead State on Wednesday and UT Martin on Saturday before hosting Tennessee State on Monday.

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI REDHAWKS (2-7, 5-17): Southeast Missouri fell to UT Martin (88-47) before defeating Austin Peay (59-60). Junior Bailie Roberts scored a career-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting versus UT Martin. Roberts followed that up with her first double-double in almost two years recording 10 points and a career-best 13 rebounds against Austin Peay. Freshman Allyson Bradshaw had a career-high 17 points in the win over the Lady Govs. She went 5-for-8 from three-point range in the victory. Southeast Missouri will travel to Eastern Illinois on Wednesday before hosting Tennessee Sate on Saturday.

SIUE COUGARS (6-3, 12-8): SIUE defeated Jacksonville State, 78-57, on the road in its only game of the week. Sophomore Jazmin Hill scored a game-high 16 points against the Gamecocks. She went 6-for-13 from the floor and 4-of-10 from beyond the arc. Hill is now fifth on the school's all-time three-pointers list with 126. Raven Berry moved into eighth on the all-time rebounding list after her third consecutive double-digit game. She now has 610 boards for her career. Freshman Tierny Austin tied a season-high with 12 points in 24 minutes off the bench. Freshman Kiara Connor was 3-fo-4 from the floor in her 15 minutes of action. SIUE will travel to Tennessee Tech on Wednesday before returning home to host Eastern Kentucky on Saturday and Morehead State on Monday.

TENNESSEE STATE LADY TIGERS (4-6, 8-14): Tennessee State split a pair of road games last week, defeating Austin Peay (82-77) and falling to UT Martin (105-90). Freshman Chelsea Hudson averaged 23.0 points and 11.0 rebounds over the two games while shooting over 65 percent from the field. She scored 38 points and pulled down 17 rebounds versus UT Martin. Hudson also went 16-for-17 from the line for the week. Tennessee State will host Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday before traveling to Southeast Missouri on Saturday and Murray State on Monday.

TENNESSEE TECH GOLDEN EAGLES (6-3, 10-13): Tennessee Tech defeated Eastern Kentucky (82-67) and Morehead State (57-53) last week to extend its winning streak to four games. Senior Tacarra Hayes led the team in points (37), rebounds (21) and assists (9) last week. She recorded her 13th career double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds against Eastern Kentucky. She added 16 points and seven rebounds versus Morehead State. Sophomore Jala Harris averaged 10.0 points and 5.5 points over the two games. Tennessee Tech will host SIUE on Wednesday before traveling to Jacksonville State on Saturday and Austin Peay on Monday.

UT MARTIN SKYHAWKS (7-1, 13-8): UT Martin picked up a pair of OVC home wins last week, defeating Southeast Missouri, 84-61, and Tennessee State, 105-90. The Skyhawks have now won their last four OVC contests and their last eight home games. Sophomore Heather Butler scored 42 points against TSU to set a new school single-game scoring mark. She put up 25 points versus Southeast Missouri. Butler went a perfect 11-for-11 from the line for the week and shot 65 percent from the floor. As a team, the Skyhawks hit 21 three points in the two games with Butler leading the way with eight. UT Martin will travel to Austin Peay on Wednesday before hosting Murray State on Saturday and Jacksonville State on Monday. The Skyhawks' game with Murray State is UTM's "We Back Pat" night to support Pat Summitt while the game with Jacksonville State is UT Martin's "Pink Out" contest.
