NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee State came from behind to defeat visiting Memphis in five sets (11-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-9) on Tuesday night.
The Tigers has three players reach double-digits in kills with Naomi Wells leading the way with 15. Sherryce Butler added 12 kills while Rachel Ambroch had 11. Well also recorded 12 digs for the double-double. Britani Hathron paced the TSU defense with 16 digs. Erika Moss nearly had a double-double with 39 assists and nine digs on the night.
Memphis was led by Altrese Hawikins and Marija Jovanovic with 14 kills each.
Tennessee State returns to action on Friday as it travels to Jacksonville State.
