MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ahmad Evans, So., Chicago, Ill. – SIUE
Evans broke the SIUE school record in the men’s 100m with a 1st place finish at the Hilltopper Relays with a time of 10.41. He also placed 2nd in the 200m recording a time of 21.31. Evans now holds the school record in both events, and has the top times for 2013 in the OVC.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Aftan Noon, Sr., Forsyth, Ill. – SIUE
Noon broke the school record in the 1,500m by four seconds with a time of 4:26.43 and beat the 2nd place finisher at the Hilltopper Relays by 12 seconds. That time is an OVC best for the 2013 season. She also finished 1st in the 800m with a time of 2:09.97.

MALE FIELD CO-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Royce Dates, Jr., Memphis, Tenn. – Tennessee State
Dates had a great performance in the long jump in Saturday’s competition at the Boston-Moon Classic. Although he came in 2nd, Dates beat out 16 competitors with a leap of 25’1.25.” The jump set a new career-high and is the farthest in the OVC this season.
Mick Viken, R-Jr., Rolling Meadows, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
Viken won the men’s pole vault at the Hilltopper Relays with his best mark fo the season. The junior cleared 17’2.25” on Saturday as he moved into 32nd in the nation this season and set an OVC best.

FEMALE FIELD CO-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Jilian Linklater, Jr., Lake Orion, Mich. – Belmont University
Linklater, the Michigan native, took home the top spot in the women’s high jump competition over the weekend at the Boston-Moon Relays. Her jump of 5’8” was good enough to set a new personal record and an OVC best for the 2013 season.
Jade Riebold, R-Jr., Powell, Ohio – Eastern Illinois
Riebold moved up to 4th in the nation in the pole vault as she won the event at the Hilltopper Relays on Saturday. Riebold surpassed her own school record by one and a half inches as she cleared 14’3.25” to win the event.
