MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Danny Trevor, Jr., Algonquin, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
Trevor won the 110-meter hurdles and placed second in the 400-meter hurdles as the Panthers competed in the WKU Hilltopper Classic on Saturday. Trevor took the 110-meter hurdles with a winning time of 14.57 which ranks second in the OVC this season. His second-place time in the 400-meter hurdles was 52.82 which was the best mark in the league this year and ranks 85
th in the nation.

Co-FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Julie Mathisen, So., Askim, Norway – Eastern Kentucky
Mathisen placed fifth out of 51 competitors in the women’s 800 meters at the Tennessee Relays with a personal and OVC-best time of 2:09.23. The time is fourth-fastest in EKU history and currently ranks 43
rd in the NCAA East Region
Karina Manz, Fr., Hardt, Germany – Morehead State
Manz won the 10,000 meters at the Tennessee Relays last weekend. Her time was a personal best and is currently the top mark in the OVC this year. She also ranks 40
th in the NCAA East Region.
Jessica Oranika, So., Belleville, Ill. – SIUE
Oranika took first in the 400-meters at the Missouri Relays with personal best time of 54.68. Her time ranks first in the league this season is 35
th in the NCAA West Region and 77
th nationally.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brian Grote, Sr., St. Charles, Mo. – Southeast Missouri
Grote finished third among collegiate competitors and sixth overall in the Javelin at the Tennessee Relays. His distance of 214’08” is a personal best and is first in the OVC this year. The mark is also the fourth-best throw in school history.

Co-FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jalisa Paramore, Sr., Apopka, Fla. – Eastern Illinois
Paramore took first in the long jump at the WKU Hilltopper Classic with a leap of 20’03.75” which ranks second on the EIU career list as she became the second Panther to break the 20’ mark in the long jump. Her mark also ranks first in the OVC and 23
rd nationally. Paramore also took first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.79 which ranks third in the OVC this year.
Elizabeth Hampl, Jr., Troy, Ill. - SIUE
For the second straight week, Hampl broke the school record in the Hammer throw as she took first place at the Missouri Relays. Her distance of 198’04” is first in the OVC, 12
th in the NCAA West Region and 20
th nationally.
