MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Calvin Edwards, Jr., Joliet, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
Edwards took first in the 400-meter dash at the Illini Classic. His winning time of 48.32 was less than a second off his EIUE Top 10 time. When converted due to the size of the track, the mark is first in the OVC and ranks 15
th nationally.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Breigh Jones, Jr., Memphis, Tenn. – Austin Peay
Jones placed second in the 400-meters with a school-record time of 54.97 at the ETSU Invitational last week. The mark also ranks first in the OVC this season and ranks 16
th nationally. Jones was also part of the 4x400-meter team that placed fourth with a time of 3:49.58 which is second in the OVC this year.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kevin Farely, Sr., O’Fallon, Ill.- Southeast Missouri
Farely picked up a pair of first-place finishes at the Illini Classic last week. He won the weight throw with a school-record toss of 69’06.25”. The mark is first in the OVC this year. He also won the shot put with a mark of 59’11” which is also the top throw in the league this season.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kayla Gutierrez, Jr., Kirkwood, Mo. – Southeast Missouri
Gutierrez won the weight throw at the Illini Classic with a toss of 61’09.75”. She also placed second in the shot put with a mark of 46’08.25” which ranks first in the OVC this season.
