MURRAY STATE 76, MIDDLE TENNESSEE 65
MURRAY, Ky.
- The Murray State Racers powered through the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders for a 76-65 win Tuesday at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.

The Racers moved to 2-0 as they head out on the road for a four-game road swing that takes them to Georgia Friday and to the Gulf Coast Showcase in Florida Thanksgiving week.

Jeffery Moss led a quartet of double-figure scorers with 19 points, with 15 from Wayne Langston and 10 each from Damarcus Croaker and Chad Culbreath.

In the first half, the Racers had a 7-0 run in 1:22 highlighted by a Bryce Jones 3-pointer for a 26-20 lead at the 6:14 mark. Moss hit a long two pointer with 1:21 left for a 37-28 lead.

The Racers went into the half in front 37-30.

Culbreath, a freshman, gave the Racers a spark off the bench and his assist to Langston for a six-point lead early in the second half was of the behind-the-back variety. Culbreath added a pair of high-flying layups to give MSU its largest lead of the game of 13 points at the 13:57 mark.

With MTSU pressing into the Racers' lead late, Croaker scored a pair of baskets, the last a baseline dunk that put MSU in front 70-60 with 2:40 left.

The Racers brought it home from there to push their home win streak to 17.
